Lugano, and Lake Lugano (Lago di Lugano) is located in the Swiss canton (or state) of Ticino. Ticino is known for its Italian culture - as this is where a majority of the Italian-speaking Swiss citizens can be found.
Visiting this city, one of the most southern in all of Switzerland, can't help but make one feel as if they are in some secret hidden paradise, which they have all to themself.
